Cosi's make-your-own sandwiches come in one, two, or three toppings, and although they are delicious, they don't come cheap. Kids will love the bread, which is baked in a wood-burning oven before your eyes. It's almost always warm and delicious. Toppings such as curry chicken, smoked salmon, and caramelized onion are in abundance, but standard fare is available, too. For dessert, try the ultimate "sandwich": marshmellows, Hershey bars, and graham crackers, served with a mini crackling fire and an iron pot for melting.

This larger than usual Wendy’s in Downtown Crossing offers two floors of seating and a diverse stream of patrons ranging from Financial District young professionals to a colorful transient population staying at the nearby New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans. The quality of service is hit or miss. And the bathrooms, which are above average considering the location, are fairly clean. Great place to people watch.

E&C is part of a chain of English-style pubs. Think beer, fish 'n chips, shepard's pie, wood, brass. Features a list of over 100 beers and an extensive list of Scotch whisky. The E&C Boston is located in the heart of Boston's Financial District. Conveniently located within blocks of historic Faneuil Hall, Qunicy Market, Old South Meeting House and The Freedom Trail. This place packs 'em in at lunch. A little know fact about E&C Boston is that the flow of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919 actually stopped at 161 Devonshire Street which is now home to E&C. Come here at 6:30 pm on Tuesday evenings will offer some traditional food - at moderate prices and engaging trivia. There is a fine selection of drinks, which is great for the refined crowd that frequent the trivia nights.

The cafe opened in November 1981 serving the finest vegetarian cuisine cafeteria style and has been known ever since for made-from-scratch, delicious, wholesome food made from the freshest ingredients. Milk Street is a terrific Kosher restaurant in Downtown Boston. The soups are ALL veggie considering it is a dairy restaurant and all of them are delicious - my fav is the tomato tortellini. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are in Boston in the summer, make sure to stop by the Post Office Square park location. The hot dog cart has some delicious offerings! For those of you looking to save money though, go after 2pm everything there is 20% off.

This conveniently located sushi restaurant near the Financial District and Downtown Crossing has an extensive menu. However, Ueno Sushi’s Japanese-style cuisine is a bit on the pricey side compared to other pan-Asian bars that serve up quality sushi. Try the Ueno Maki Combo for its unique flavor combination or their colorful bubble tea or yummy udon noodles.
