It's high minded, delicious, slightly decadent without feeling like you've gorged on a side of creamed spinach.

A McDonald's is a McDonald's no matter where you go in this country. You can expect your service to be quick and somewhat apathetic. The cheeseburger is not going to taste better than the last one you had. Upside: Free Wifi, although I suggest this be your last resort for a quite sit down place to study with your laptop.

Enter the Ankara Cafe by walking down a flight of stairs and go into a place where Turkish food, along with standard American favorites, are offered. Typical foods like Calzones, Pizza, Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps. They deliver to the BU campus and limited MIT campus. Estimated time for delivery is about 60 minutes. (8 dollar min.) On a hot summer day it might be worth stopping by for there large portions of frozen yogurt.

Cornwall's migrated across Kenmore Square into new digs earlier this century but it still has a stellar selection of beers and ample pub grub to suit its customers.

At the end of Lansdowne Street, Boston's club strip, stands Jillian's which has the amazing eating/drinking/gaming combo of a bowling alley along with 3 full levels of gaming. It's an indoor amusement park for adults with 16 lanes, over 30 pool tables, wall-sized TVs blaring sports, fundless blackjack, ping-pong, a large restaurant, 6 full bars, and a lounge restaurant, Tequila Rain, for refueling from the dancing next door. Pool tables $8/hr for 1 person, $2 for each additional person; after 6pm Friday and Saturday prices change to $10/hr for 1-2 people, $14 for 3+. Bowling $4.50 per person per game 11am-5pm, $6 after 5pm. No hats, cigars, pipes, or sweats. Under-21s, be warned: Jillian's boasts perhaps the most sophisticated ID scanner in the Western world. Hotel Buckminster dates to the early years of Kenmore Square being created (1897) and the architect of this building was Stanford White (of the girl on the red velvet swing fame). There are 200 rooms in this hotel - which was restored in the 1990s after suffering its way through the 1980s. The hotel was the site of the first network radio broadcast. In 1929 WNAC Radio had its studios on the upper floors (we know it as WRKO today). The had a TV and radio station in this building through the 1960s. In the 1940s part of the hotel was taken over by the military and then for a while it was a college dorm.

Mauluken is karaoke headquarters in Kenmore Square, the restaurant offers it nightly from 9pm until 1am. Serving a wide range of Japanese food and offering take-out Maluken is a good spot for lunch or dinner. But it's not until later that the action really gets started.
