Many bars in the Financial District resign themselves to being a bumping after work watering hole Mon.-Fri. with dead weekends. Revolution Rock Bar is not. You can also head to the Barking Crab to rock out post 5 pm during the work week during the summer and sway to the tunes of a funky and rollicking reggae band. Casual and cool, the Barking Crab rarely lets you down. Boaters are welcome to tie up free of charge while dining. There's a beautiful walkway that runs under the Evelyn Moakley Bridge next to the Barking Crab and leading to the Boston Children's Museum. Quiet with seating so that you can enjoy a romantic walk and take in the wonderful view. Popular hangout with the business crowd, Brandy Pete’s serves up deli sandwiches and American staples like hamburgers, subs, salads and roast beef. Open since 1933, this pub also boasts a stellar selection of beers and pub grub like fried calamari. During the summer, they open up their doors and offer outdoor seating—a definite Financial District hotspot during lunch. Great place to wine and dine potential clients in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Vintage Lounge’s ultra-sleek ambience attracts a mix of young professionals, Financial District heavy hitters and collegiate hipsters looking to swill an after-work cocktail and munch on the restaurant’s stunning selection of Spanish appetizers known as tapas. The contemporary couches found near the bar area inspires conversation and the décor almost--but not quite--overshadows the glittery crowd. Definite late-night hotspot that seems more like an exclusive NYC tapas bar than a typical, Beantown haunt.
