The Meritage Restaurant boasts one of the best views in all of Boston on the harbor. The decor is upscale and sophisticated. The service is tremendous. Each dish was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. One of the best meals in Boston, but pricey. Try the martini with blue cheese-stuffed olive, it's fantastic.
Meritage is the culmination of Chef Daniel Bruce’s 13 years a chef for the Boston Wine Festival where he pairs more than 200 dishes each year with outstanding wines from around the world.
Tip: One benefit of dressing up for Meritage is appearing more huffy and stuffy than you really are, enabling you to crash high-class company parties at the top-notch downstairs bar.

Located within the Boston Harbor Hotel, this pricey place is a definite special occasion hangout and maintains an old-school style. Hardwood panels, leather couches, and most importantly strong drinks and a late night menu make this classy seafood pub a fun alternative to fancier dining, without losing the view and the menu caliber of the other BHH restaurants.

The Barking Crab, a bright and fun lobster shack sitting on the Seaport waterfront almost touching the financial district, is a great laid back place to grab a quick lobster roll, cod dinner, or cup of shrimp bisque. You can also head to the Barking Crab to rock out post 5 pm during the work week during the summer and sway to the tunes of a funky and rollicking reggae band. Casual and cool, the Barking Crab rarely lets you down. Boaters are welcome to tie up free of charge while dining.
There's a beautiful walkway that runs under the Evelyn Moakley Bridge next to the Barking Crab and leading to the Boston Children's Museum. Quiet with seating so that you can enjoy a romantic walk and take in the wonderful view.
Doug Lemie of the Barking Crab is on the Friends of Fort Point Channel Board of Directors and is actively involved in the support, planning and promotion of the historic Fort Point district and its neighborhoods.

In the early morning hours of Friday, May 30th, James Hook Lobster burnt down in a 7 alarm fire. They are currently operating from 339 Northern Ave, but have announced plans to return/rebuild at the original location. James Hook & Co. is a seafood restaurant that also distributes lobsters to restaurants and wholesale distributors around the country. One of the largest distributors in New England, it ships over 50,000 pounds of lobster each day. The environment is wholesale, but retail customers are welcome and the experience can be quite fun. Just walk up to the tanks to select the lobster of your choice. You might be surprised by how large a large a lobster can be! The prices are reasonable. Live lobsters vary in price from about $14.99 per pound to $35.99 for three pounds. If you're not a lobster fan, no worries. There is a great selection of other types of seafood as well.

Famous for their delicious seafood chowder, and their no-nonsense, no-frills fresh seafood platters, the No Name has been serving Boston with fresh, honest, reasonably priced seafood since 1917. You can get lobster, but more popular are the heaping plates of scrod, shrimp, scallops, clams, or a combination plate either broiled or fried. No awards here for snazzy flavorings, spices, or presentation—but the freshness and quality of the seafood cannot be beat. Land-lubber options include steak, chicken, and burgers; but surf, not turf, is definitely the specialty. Many tables are family-style, be prepared to share. Entrees $5-23. Free parking.
