Dining. drinking. lounging. in style. Located in the heart of the theatre district, Caprice offers a tantalizing menu with unique French Mediterranean flair. Forget about finding a place to park when the Wang Center has a show--pricey lots and the T are your best bets.
Spee members will feel right at home at Caprice, which attracts a chic international crowd. Come here to schmooze and be seen in one of 3 separate bar areas. A DJ spins downstairs W-Sa at 10:30pm; for a more laid-back atmosphere, head to their 2 pool tables upstairs ($20/hr) or lounge in comfy chairs by the huge front windows. Super-expensive drinks (wine $8+, beer $6, mixed drinks $10+) make Caprice the place to come once you've landed that cushy I-banking job. Brazilian/Latin Su, “Buddha Lounge” M. Appropriate dress required. No cover.

The upstairs lounge captures the spirit of Morocco with rich color and plush seating.
The Billiards Room features two red felt tables and a private bar.
Caprice offers spacious and elegant private rooms and the finest in gourmet catering.

In a neighborhood known for its top-notch Asian flavors, a fast-food restaurant stands out like a sore thumb. However, if you have a hankering for a Big Mac, try the McDonald’s in Chinatown for its homeland-inspired décor. The exterior transforms the iconic golden arches into a Buddhist temple. Inside you’ll find black-and-white images of rice fields and pagodas.

Probably the most fashionable club in Boston, Aria is easy to spot: just look for a long line of scantily-clad patrons trailing down the sidewalk outside the Wilbur Theatre. Decadence abounds here, with an overtly chic crowd and enough plush velvet to make Hugh Hefner jealous. Sample a drink from one of Aria's 3 bars while watching the beautiful Aria Angels dance the night away on small tables bordering the outer perimeter of the room. The DJ supplies pumping house and techno beats that will keep you dancing long after the angels have shed their wings. The themes range from ”Fashion House” Th to (appropriately enough) “Vanity” on F. Round the weekend off with some hip-hop on “Scandalous Sunday.” Very strict dress code: jacket and dress shirt for guys. Cover $15-20.

The Jacob Wirth Restaurant has been a Boston favorite since 1868.
While Jacob Wirth's is Boston's only German restaurant and beer hall, it's a pretty authentic one. While an odd mix of regulars and theatergoing out-of-towners fill the airy dining hall's communal tables, area workers pack the front bar area to watch sports and enjoy bargain happy hour food specials. Friday nights attract exceptionally boisterous crowds for a giant sing-along that's driven by a live pianist. They have a whole book of lyrics for anyone (old and new) who inclines to join. They're hardcore!
Check the restaurant's website for its weekly specials (three-course meals on Sundays for $20, all-you-can-eat pasta on Tuesdays for $10). Not to mention the beer club! No dues, no hassles, good people, great beer.
