The King and I is a local Beacon Hill favorite serving heaping portions of Thai food at reasonable prices. You can enjoy your meal to go (as alot of local Hillers do) or you can dine in their quaint Charles Street location. Appetizers and entrees rarely exceed the $12 mark, and their wine list, though small, is priced just right as well.

Harvard Gardens is many things. For one, it is a local Beacon Hill haunt. During the day, a place where nearby MGH folk enjoy lunch. On the weekends, there is a brunch crowd. Dinner is served here featuring upscale comfort food and American favorites such a delectable pastas and delicate salads. However, the real Harvard Gardens is mostly known for it's great bar scene appreciated mostly by Beacon Hillers. Crammed into the long and narrow bar you will find a plethora of preppily clad 20 and 30 somethings looking for fun and someone fun. The bar is crowded, but the drinks are not that expensive. There is something here for everyone, just remember that unless you get there really early thursday - saturday- it is standing room only!
Homemade desserts like a Guinness float or a sinful "chocolate lovers" platter for two are worth a visit alone. With its location across t he street from MGH, the bar enjoys one of the highest ratios of doctors and nurses of any establishment in the city.

A Beacon Hill brunch favorite, this Charles Street joint is always hopping. Offering fresh brewed coffee and espresso drinks, eggs and omlettes, to salads and pizza, during the day you order at the counter and take your seat. However, at night Panificio becomes a little more formal with waiters and table service. Basic Italian and American fare served. Wine and beer only.

Fabulous local favorite. Finally, North end worthy Italian food right here in Beacon Hill! Generous portions and low prices keep Beacon Hillers eagerly returning to this small space on Cambridge street. You know you made it to the right place when you smell garlic in the air, hear Frank Sinatra crooning through the speakers on the street, and see the hungry dinner crowd lining the street waiting for a table. Open for lunch and dinner, Antonio's has a small and reasonably priced Italian wine list and accepts major credit cards.

Clink, the chic eatery in the lobby of the Liberty Hotel, is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Clink also houses a fashionable and trendy hotel lobby bar that serves everyone from hotel guests, hip city dwellers, and suburbanites craving a taste of the sophisticated in town. There is sometimes a line to get in, so Th-Saturday, either expect to wait a bit, or try to get here before 10pm. The menu includes everything from small plates to shared dishes and the drinks at the bar are pretty pricey pours. Dress to impress and do not forget to check the old bank balance before heading over.
Sink into a banquette under the soaring lobby rotunda or slide into a seat next to an original jail cell and sup on small plates until you’re satisfied, be that two items or ten. Just drinks? Order one of forty wines by the pour or sample some of our chef’s style cocktails made with exotic herbs, fresh fruit purees and top shelf spirits.
In addition to lunch, dinner and drinks, breakfast is served each morning with a selection of fresh breads, pastry, fruits, cured meats, cheese and made-to-order entrees.

Artu is an Italian restaurant with locations in the North End and Beacon Hill. Their menu: lunch, dinner, and take out, is a collection of Italian favorites. It is simple, rustic, and priced in the moderate range. In addition, Artu has specials that change nightly. The Prince Street location is also a huge hangout and bar for North End patrons, while the Charles Street location is more of a place where Beacon Hillers go for a quick bite.
