Very nice Finagle location right on the Massachusetts General Hospital campus. Outdoor seating in the nice weather under an archway. It's really quite pleasant, which is surprising since traffic is whizzing by on Cambridge Street right in front of the shop. That's the crazy thing about the West End, you turn a corner and it's like a completely different world. Sometimes you hit old Boston, other times you're bombarded by construction, or a quiet neighborhood with a meandering path, or hip civilization.

Since 1971, Nino's has been serving up homemade pizza sauce, dough, and meatballs. Their menu includes all the fixings, including a wide variety of sandwiches, and Italian plates. Also, the restaurant serves beer, wine, and malt beverages. More of a place for a quick bite, rather than a leisurely meal. If you really, really need to use the bathroom there's one in the back, but we recommend waiting till you get home, if you can.

Located a hop, skip and a jump from the original Cheers, The Sevens is a place where everybody really knows your name, at least when you wear your old monogrammed high school letter jacket. Cultivating neighborhood pub atmosphere, proprietor John Kiley has crafted a bar where Frasier would feel at home and Niles would nervously wipe his brow. The crowd, mostly Beacon Hill locals loyal to their “town pub”, enjoy good company and chummy conversation (read: if you're looking for that crazy bar scene, head elsewhere). Tasty and inexpensive pub grub, highlighted by knockwurst steamed in beer ($5), French dip sandwiches ($6), and The Kiley (turkey, roast beef, and pastrami dripping with Russian dressing, $6.50), is served until 11pm. Though its name comes from its street address, The Sevens is also well known for its 7 beers on tap (mug $3.25-3.50, pint $4-4.25, pitcher $10-10.50). Entrees $5-6.50. Cash and credit cards now accepted! This section contains information from Harvard Student Agencies' Unofficial Guide to Life at Harvard.
Not that there's much competition, but this Beacon Hill institution is considered by most to be the neighborhood's top bar. The Sevens is still there! It's the kind of place you don't forget, because in a "concept" restaurant world where bars tend to feel like airport terminals (all alike, that is), the Sevens has a distinct personality.
Tip: Meters along Charles Street are notoriously hard to find. Consider taking the T (Red Line--Charles/MGH).

Bakery and small restaurant serving up ice-cream, bakery items, and a nice seating area for you to enjoy the treats! A cute place for Italian-inspired sandwiches, soups, and desserts for a pretty decent price, considering its prime location on Charles St. in the midst of Beacon Hill goodness. Their sandwiches are served on crusty baguettes and I have to say that their soup has that hearty homemade taste. The windows are huge and allowing great sunlight and people watching.
