You can find some decent soups from a roster that has both consistent offerings like clam chowder and rotating selections such as split pea, carrot-broccoli and vegetable-barley, plus a few stews. Sandwiches include the usual suspects, plus some interesting selections such as Caribbean chicken with banana-ginger chutney and some Asian and Middle Eastern wraps in tortillas and pita breads. The salad bar itself leaves a lot to be desired compared to the multifaceted, unusual, prepared salads you can score at any decent lunch place---or even compared to the bars at most supermarkets.

Not so good for the sushi. Every time I go to a real sushi place, I am reminded of just how crappy the sushi at Jane's really is. Sushi grade fish is not supposed to be chewy, and the rice is not supposed to fall out of the rolls...well, at all, let alone that easily. Rest assured, the folks in the back did not cut their culinary teeth on the bars of Tokyo's finest sushi establishments.
That being said, Jane's has a really good salad bar with all the typical items- lettuce, tomato, cukes, peppers etc but it also has seeds, nuts, and fruit.
While most of the day Jane's is a standard buffet, after 3:00 PM, everything becomes half off and it then becomes a much more affordable option. The price goes from a little over $5/lb to just about $2.50/lb.

Cosi's make-your-own sandwiches come in one, two, or three toppings, and although they are delicious, they don't come cheap. Kids will love the bread, which is baked in a wood-burning oven before your eyes. It's almost always warm and delicious. Toppings such as curry chicken, smoked salmon, and caramelized onion are in abundance, but standard fare is available, too.
For dessert, try the ultimate "sandwich": marshmellows, Hershey bars, and graham crackers, served with a mini crackling fire and an iron pot for melting .

Sebastians is going to help you keep that New Year's resolution. Salads are the name of the game here and starting at just $6.75 for a large mixed salad, you will def. get a bang for your buck. However, for those less body image conscious, crepes, stuffed sandwiches, and a hot bar awaits your every comfort food desire.

The soup is always good- using fresh ingredients and served piping hot. On warmer days, the salad is of the make-your-own variety and pretty good. They have nice extras like hummus, tofu, marinated mushrooms and taboule which make it worth the low price. However, sometimes the bins get empty before the employees think to refresh them- a slight annoyance.

Sandwiches are pricey here, but the hot entrees come with salad and are actually a pretty good deal for a "real lunch." Also a selection of fruit, yogurt, and really, really good cakes. This Rebecca's is sort of small but does have some good seating to watch the passersby on High Street.
