NESOP was founded in the late 60s and focuses exclusively on photography. There are 150 students, who study all aspects of photography to prepare them for careers in the field. NESOP offers workshops in the evenings for the public on many topics and has programs for high school students as well.

Boston Arts Academy is a city-wide school focusing on dance, theatre, visual arts, vocal and instrumental music. In order to attend, you have to audition. Student enrollment is about 400 and the Academy partners with local colleges (Mass Art, Berklee, Emerson, Boston Conservancy) to provide an enriched educational experience.
Co-located with the Boston Arts Academy, Fenway High School is one of the first small pilot schools in Boston. There are only 280 students.
