Located a hop, skip and a jump from the original Cheers, The Sevens is a place where everybody really knows your name, at least when you wear your old monogrammed high school letter jacket. Cultivating neighborhood pub atmosphere, proprietor John Kiley has crafted a bar where Frasier would feel at home and Niles would nervously wipe his brow. The crowd, mostly Beacon Hill locals loyal to their “town pub”, enjoy good company and chummy conversation (read: if you're looking for that crazy bar scene, head elsewhere). Tasty and inexpensive pub grub, highlighted by knockwurst steamed in beer ($5), French dip sandwiches ($6), and The Kiley (turkey, roast beef, and pastrami dripping with Russian dressing, $6.50), is served until 11pm. Though its name comes from its street address, The Sevens is also well known for its 7 beers on tap (mug $3.25-3.50, pint $4-4.25, pitcher $10-10.50). Entrees $5-6.50.
