Welcome to Sweetwater Café, where you can “eat 'til 1, drink 'til 2” after you've finished partying at the nearby clubs Big Easy, Sugar Shack, and Boum. This homey bar, with its wood floor and pseudo-nautical decor, is a welcome refuge from pounding beats, dazzling lights, and inexplicably potent drinky-drinks. Troquet is a great find. Delicious food with wine pairing options for each course by dish. Excellent service and great presentation.The upstairs dining room is a unique setting overlooking Boston Common while the first floor has a sophisticated Wine Bar. The kitchen's open 'til 11! You can tell too, since it's completely exposed in the upstairs dining area and worth showing off; bustling, clean and buzzing with foodie delight. The size of the restaurant makes you think of a row house - it was multiple floors (2) and narrow and long. There were mirrors hung along the walls - which I assume was to make the space seem less narrow - which works well. Nice, simple decor with lots of cherry colored wood. If you are taking a date there BE SURE to request a window seat. This place defines 'wine and dine'.

Either the crew at the Boylston Street Dunkin’ Donuts has really good taste in music or they’re smart enough to blare the music coming from nearby WECB-FM, Emerson College’s stellar radio station with a lineup that includes Air’s “Pocket Symphony” and the Kings of Leon’s “Because of the Times.” This popular college hangout is also frequented by a diverse cross-section of Theatre District enthusiasts looking for a cup of DD’s addictive brew before taking in a show at the nearby Colonial and Emerson Majestic.

Emerson’s Café is campus dining at its best. Centrally located on Boylston Street in the Theatre District, this Emerson College haunt serves the coffee-on-the-go basics like bagels with cream cheese, tuna melts, fruit cups and cappuccinos. Great place to soak up the Emerson vibe.

Two large concrete stallions greet patrons at this classy Theatre District restaurant. The ambience at P.F. Chang's China Bistro is contemporary Asian with a traditional Chinese twist. Regulars rave about the menu with its tasty orange-peel beef and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce. Foodies also enjoy the bistro’s presentation which includes table-side service where sous chefs prepare the restaurant’s signature sauces and eclectic Asian flavors. Also, their wine selection is excellent.

Located on the outskirts of Chinatown and within steps away from the Boston Common, this Chinese restaurant offers excellent vegetarian dishes including the Family Style Bean Curd (deep fried curd sauteed with veggies) and the Vegetarian Delight (Chinese veggies cooked in a light sauce). While Beijing on the Common is more Americanized compared to the eateries in nearby Chinatown, this restaurant serves up healthy, larger-than-usual portions at reasonable prices.
