Radius's team of hipster restaurateurs score yet again with this tastefully mod and highly authentic Italian experiement, which offers diners a choice of top-drawer food and drinks in one of four settings. Try the white-walled main dining room, the outdoor terrace, the late-night bistro and pizzeria, or the bar—a perfect place to meet dates for after-hours drinks. The restaurant offers a host of generously-portioned Italian regional specialties, like the phenomenal Fresh Pappardelle with Long Island duck, dried cherries, and rosemary ($19), but those in a drinking-and-snacking kind of mood should hit the bar for specialty drinks, scene-making, and lightly crunchy risotto balls ($10). The mostly upscale 30-something crowd packs this place nightly, so call for reservations.

The basil gimlet--fresh basil with lime and vodka--is not to be missed.

This recent addition to Louis of Boston, the über-upscale clothing store, is a chic, innovative, and exciting treat for the end (or middle) of a hard day of shopping. The Asian-influenced Meditteranean menu is both creative and slightly bewildering, but the knoweldgeable and friendly waitstaff is more than willing to help dazzled customers navigate the sea of high-priced options. Try the potato spring rolls ($14) or tuna tartar ($16) for a fun blend of flavors to start and then move on to the filling main courses, ranging from lobster served with cookies ($35) to hay fired chicken ($27). Finish up with the amazing chocolate tempura for dessert ($10), but save room for a cotton-candy surprise when the check comes.

Troquet is a great find. Delicious food with wine pairing options for each course by dish. Excellent service and great presentation. The upstairs dining room is a unique setting overlooking Boston Common while the first floor has a sophisticated Wine Bar. The kitchen's open 'til 11! You can tell too, since it's completely exposed in the upstairs dining area and worth showing off; bustling, clean and buzzing with foodie delight.
The size of the restaurant makes you think of a row house - it was multiple floors (2) and narrow and long. There were mirrors hung along the walls - which I assume was to make the space seem less narrow - which works well. Nice, simple decor with lots of cherry colored wood. If you are taking a date there BE SURE to request a window seat. This place defines 'wine and dine'.

SkipJack's is the lastest addition to the "best seafood restaurant" race in Boston. Okay, so it's more that 16 years old (a "teenager"). It's named after a high-quality Pacific tuna that is rumored to be one strong fish. The atmosphere is a combination of wooden ship with traces of the sea by smooth metal lines and sea color tiles. Enough about the atmosphere, the seafood is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s. They offer a wide variety of seafood, and some yummy sushi for the adventurous. If (when) you fall in love, ask about their customer loyalty and rewards program! Kid friendly / Kids menu.
In a bit of an odd location, but away from the hoards of restaurants, wait periods are shorter or non-existent. They have other locations in the 'burbs, including Newton. SkipJack's is a go-to for seafood.
Insider tip: 2 hour free parking with validation.
