Popular hangout with the business crowd, Brandy Pete’s serves up deli sandwiches and American staples like hamburgers, subs, salads and roast beef. Open since 1933, this pub also boasts a stellar selection of beers and pub grub like fried calamari. During the summer, they open up their doors and offer outdoor seating—a definite Financial District hotspot during lunch. Great place to wine and dine potential clients in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

J.A. Stat's has one aim, and that is to bring an upscale restaurant and bar to the Financial District not only for the thousands of after work suits roaming the streets in search of a cocktail, but for the new denizens of downtown that are cropping up as quickly as their luxury condo buildings. The food is basic and upscale comfort. The cocktails are a'plenty.

Many bars in the Financial District resign themselves to being a bumping after work watering hole Mon.-Fri. with dead weekends. Revolution Rock Bar is not. With nightly events, live music, a great menu, and even family events, Rock Revolution is awake and rocking (pardon the pun) while the rest of the Financial District sleeps.

In the shadow of the now defunct and much sketchier Martin's Townhouse is Biddy Early's, a divey financial district standby with a diverse clientele. Totally dependent on the office lunch and after-work crowd (they close on weekend evenings) Biddy's offers good service and good value. Step inside on the lunchbreak rush and you will notice that the bar is packed with various people, like bikers to verizon union workers to businessmen. The bartender, Neimh is awsome. She is at the top of her game everyday. Never forgeting about anyone, even when the house is packed!! An upscale dive with buckets of beer at $15 for 5 bottles, Juke box, decent food at lunch and dinner.

Originally on Province Street in Downtown Crossing with origins dating back to the 1940s, The Littlest Bar has reopened in a new--and slightly larger--location on Broad Street in the Financial District. Proprietor Paddy Grace closed the infamous original locale two years ago after issues with a high-rise condo development in Downtown Crossing. The new spot, covered with old-school memorabilia including photos and a letter from former Boston mayor Ray Flynn, also shares a kitchen with The Times Irish Pub & Restaurant. Small-size order of fish and chips, anyone?

The Vault provides a welcome retreat and will have you feeling nostalgic with the bold mahogany wood grain bar and rich details. The bar is long & spacious. Seats do go quickly. After 5pm, you're lucky if you can get one. However, there are plenty of tables that do not require reservations. There's a semi-private dining area with a fireplace & its own bathroom.
One of the most happening happy hours around. The Vault truly packs them in starting at 5pm- 8'ish. A happy hour favorite for the Brooks Brother suit clad crowd. Busy for lunch as well, this bar has great food and a happening after work scene. Local owners keep things happening in the Financial District as well as their bar on Nantucket Island: the Chicken Box.
