This is a great card shop and gift shop. They seem to have a little bit of everything from serious gifts to funny nick-nacks. They also have plenty of merchandise to decorate for every holiday.

Run by Karen Hohler. In 1978, after leaving corporate America for the birth of her daughter Raina, she was lucky enough to turn a life long avocation with crafts into a vocation. Raina has grown up along with Whippoorwill. Whippoorwill Crafts is not your typical craft gallery. Although we represent over 200 artists and the work is superior quality, we tend to take a light hearted approach to crafts. At Whippoorwill we love things that make us smile.

To celebrate the grand opening of their brand new Newbury Comics location at Faneuil Hall, the new shop on the block hosted, well, the New Kids On The Block (yes, the '80s pop icons from Boston) at this swank record and retail location. For those not in the know, Newbury Comics is an independently owned retailer specializing in music, movies and pop culture goods. Their experience comes from over 30 years of alternative retailing through their now 28 New England-based store locations. The Faneuil Hall shop boasts two floors with some of the familiar indie goods that made their growing brand a fave among the collegiate crowd including a "Wicked Cheap" rack of CDs, a chalkboard highlighting upcoming releases as well as an emphasis on local/regional bands. In addition to the usual pop culture goods, this tourist friendly location has a larger selection of edgy clothing like their alterna-Ts and a second-floor space carrying a bevy of Levi jeans.
