Because of its central proximity in the Theatre District, the “Classic Neighborhood American Bar” attracts a bizarre assortment of booze-soaked regulars, theatergoers, Combat Zone veterans and Emerson students looking to snag one of the joint’s reasonably priced pints. You wouldn't know that a nightclub is located in Bay Village, but once venturing down Broadway Street, you see Jacque's Cabaret. Jacques Cabaret is a "female impersonation" nightclub, a.k.a. a drag club. There are shows every day of the week, featuring things such as "all asian qeer cabaret," "delightful divas" and "Jacques angels." In the broad daylight, you wouldn't know that this place could be hopping, but once night falls, make sure to get your drag on! Note: you do not need to be a drag queen to attend! The ambience of the Gypsy Bar is this nightclub's calling card with its half-moon booths, mood lighting and a circular fish tank full of jellyfish. One caveat: The Gypsy Bar has a velvet rope, so be prepared to wait in a long line (unless you’re a Paris Hilton’s look-alike). This used to be Pravda 116 before it changed to Gypsy Bar.
