The recently-renovated Beatley Library is one of Simmons College's pride and joys. The building is five stories and contains room for up to 240,000 physical volumes, and features a state of the art system that allows the shelves to move apart and together to conserve space. The library contains a number of PCs and Macs for use by Simmons students, as well as protected wi-fi throughout the building.
In addition to books, Beatley Library is also home to numerous study and and conference rooms that are made available to students on request.
Simmons College Library participates in the Fenway Library Consortium, allowing their patrons to access books from other schools in the area as well as the Boston Public Libraries.

The Colleges of the Fenway is a six college consortium that unites Emmanuel College, Simmons College, Wentworth Institute Of Technology, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Massachusetts College Of Art and Design, and Wheelock College. These schools use this alliance to facilitate cross-registration for academic courses, the sharing of facilities, and event planning. COF schools tend to coordinate student activities together such as the Colleges of the Fenway Clambake and the COF Spring Weekend. Additionally, any Colleges of the Fenway student is permitted to join any club, intramural sports team, or organization at another COF school.
Cross-registration between COF schools allows students to diversify their studies and meet new students. Often, curious students will enroll in courses that are dissimilar to their chosen path of study for personal enrichment. Yet classes at other schools may be taken to fulfill core curriculum requirements as well.
