Beauty does indeed rule at this cheerful salon, complete with sunny plants and a sleek but fun interior. At this “Upscale but Down-to-Earth” salon, attentive stylists whip up everything from the latest trends to more classic cuts, according to the preferences of their diverse clientele (haircuts $40+, full highlights $100+). They also make their own line of hair ($9-19) and make-up ($12-25) products, like a nourishing organic soy protein conditioner. Glam up with a group of friends at “Powdah Puff Parties,” where you can experiment with their make-up, aided by an expert ($30 per person). Appointments recommended, but walk-ins accepted.
