Bright and airy, this airport hotel offers pleasing lodgings that belie its dismal location. Rooms are well-kept and mostly quiet; executive level rooms also include continental breakfast and evening appetizers. Basic rooms go from $139-449/night, while pricey suites ranging from a whopping $750-1000 will make weary travelers reconsider sleeping overnight on a hard airport bench. On-site parking $22/night, $25/night for valet. Discounts available for groups reserving 10 or more rooms. Complimentary van service to all airline terminals, subway, and water shuttle. Book up to 1 year in advance for Commencement, although rooms are sometimes available 3 weeks prior to the event (rates start around $200).

Located in a charmingly restored mercantile warehouse just a block from Faneuil Hall, the Harborside offers simple and spacious rooms with exposed brick walls, views into an 8-story atrium, old Victorian furniture, and beautiful hardwood floors. Each room includes a queen-size bed, cherry furniture, A/C, and cable. Singles $169+, $10 per extra person; doubles $119-210; suites start at $259 (rooms with atrium view cost more, but are no different). The Inn takes reservations up to one year ahead of time and generally does not accommodate children under 12. Call in Jan. for Commencement reservations. Limited off-site parking ($20) available in a local garage around the corner.
