RICHART is a fine chocolate shop. Don't go here looking for samples, because at these prices they can't afford to give any out. But it is wonderful and creative chocolate with flavors from Verbena to Basil. It's a very unusual chocolate shop and definitely worth a visit. According to their web site, they make "gourmet french chocolates made from the finest ingredients."

Many European chocolate lines, biscuits, coffees, teas and hot chocolates. Full line of Kinder and other gourmet children's chocolates and candies. Seasonal gifts. Corporate gifts. Also fresh savory gourmet treats like fois gras, caviar, truffles. With it's proximity to Monroe SaltWorks, it makes a kid- friendly place to duck out of the rain or kill time in Copley square.

Pieces include full dining sets, Bean pots, pie plates and pie birds. To add to the mix, the store has is a good toy section (mid 20th century type) and a fine artsy jewelery section. Handmade toiletries and linnens to match the pottery round the store out. Beware to parents : there are some novelties with iffy subject matter set up close to the toy section. Nothing too outrageous ... just snarky enough to need explanation. If your four year old can read that is.
