The Esplanade Association (TEA) is a dynamic nonprofit organization that works to restore and enhance Boston’s historic Charles River Esplanade. One of the most iconic and popular urban parks in the country, the Esplanade comprises three miles of parkland stretching along the shore of the Charles River from the Museum of Science to the Boston University Bridge. The shared backyard of every resident in metropolitan Boston, the Esplanade is visited annually by over three million people to walk, bird watch, play tennis, jog, bicycle, rollerblade, swing, walk their dogs, sunbathe, meditate, play chess, learn to sail, view fireworks, picnic, admire the scenery, read, hear concerts, play baseball, study, watch movies, and host family reunions. Legal Sea Foods is a culinary classic on the east coast. A Boston-based chain Legal Sea Foods offers a variety of high quality sea food. The clam chowder has been served at the last seven presidential inaugurations. The food and service are consistently great. Located in the Prudential Building- Legal Sea Foods attracts the mall walker and the couple on a serious date. Expect lines, and try the chowder! Live jazz during Sunday Brunch.

Innovative Asian cuisine with a twist. This large Chinese restaurant chain sits in the Prudential Center and is continually busy all day and night. Dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. The user-friendly wine list features more than 50 wines by the glass and bottle and is organized by flavor--from light to full intensity. As the restaurant is usually quite crowded and loud, take-out is another good option.

You don't go here for the decor or the service. You go for the best pizza anywhere -- but only the original is in the North End.

Bottom Line: the margaritas will make you forget about Boston's cold winters and make you think you've gone tropical. It's like a pringle, you can't have just one! One of the classic Boston steakhouses, however Abe and Louie's was hot even before the recent steak craze. Dark and decadent, this Boylston street hotspot offers a variety of steaks, fabulous wines, and even a wonderful weekend brunch. Over-sized leather courtroom chairs and Hollywood-style booths in the dining room create an inviting atmosphere while impressive bronze chandeliers, massive torchieres, traditional mahogany detailing, and the gold leaf barrel vault ceiling add an air of elegance. Make sure to try the steak benedict!

Though housed in a converted Boston police department, the sleek dark wood and polished surfaces of Dillon's bear little relation to its grittier past. An older crowd that can afford the steeper prices sips premium liquors or samples generic American fare like cobb salad or prime rib (entrees $14-22). There is a private outside area with seating where smoking is allowed. The quieter atmosphere and its location make Dillon's a possible choice for post- or mid- Newbury spree refueling.
