Chopped designer salads? You bet. This Financial Street gem is a hidden hotspot for herbivores looking to satisfy their salad-as-a-meal fix. Hidden behind a grand glass facade at 100 Federal Street, Boston's Wild Greens boasts Wolfgang Puck goodies ranging from robustly prepared soups to vegan-approved salads. Wild Greens also has daily specials--like an awe-inspiring fajita bar on Thursdays and a daily breakfast menu where the chef prepares a larger-than-usual meal as you wait. While a bit on the pricey side, Wild Greens doesn't hold back with its portions (be prepared to walk back to your office with a doggie bag). And, to top off an above-average lunch experience, Wild Greens boasts outdoor seating next to a sculpture garden. Score!

Cosi's make-your-own sandwiches come in one, two, or three toppings, and although they are delicious, they don't come cheap. Kids will love the bread, which is baked in a wood-burning oven before your eyes. It's almost always warm and delicious. Toppings such as curry chicken, smoked salmon, and caramelized onion are in abundance, but standard fare is available, too.
For dessert, try the ultimate "sandwich": marshmellows, Hershey bars, and graham crackers, served with a mini crackling fire and an iron pot for melting.
This location has an outdoor patio and seating area...of of the few in the Financial District.

Grass roots deli has the freshest and tastiest deli meats. They sell gourmet food, and you can get all kinds of deli meat to make sandwiches for a yummy picnic or event out.
John, the sandwich maker has had a following in the financial district for years. Many people followed him from deli to deli..1 of the first real roasted turkey sandwiches instead of pressed roll.
Unfortunately, the change in ownership a few years ago brought the quality down...and a general skimpiness on sandwiches.

Breakfast here is spectacular. You cannot go wrong with either a bacon egg and chees on a hard roll or their "Early Bird Wrap". Hash browns and homefries also are high on my list. As for lunch, the Ruben and the Pulled pork sandwich, a special on tuesdays and thursdays are both terrific choices. The service here is far better than you would find in eatery's that you would pay twice as much to eat. Great people, Great food, great service. you owe it to yourself to try this place. Its hard to find but once you do you will not forget how to get there.

There are plenty of seats if you decide to eat in. They have regular submarine style sandwiches as well as daily specials like meatloaf and mashed potatoes, baked ziti, chicken and broccoli, etc. They also serve breakfast all day, get two eggs, toast and home fries for $2.75. Everything on the menu is more than reasonably priced (a cheeseburger runs $2.99) and is prepared fresh to order. The helpings are more than generous, and the service is prompt and efficient; it's rare that you're ever waiting more than 10 - 15 minutes for a call-in order. Most fare is in the $4-6 range. The staff are also super friendly.

Non-descript inside, no ambiance, but the food is home-style cooking at its best-- meatloaf, lasagna, chicken kabob, mashed potato and of course, deli sandwiches.

A unique twist on traditional panini, sandwiches heated in a press. Indulge in the Nutella-and-chocolate breakfast panini on the way to the office and I guarantee you will have a much better day at work because of it! Try the Steak Cuban for lunch - citrus marinated steak, swiss cheese, black bean salsa, mojo, pickles, carmalized onions, on ciabatta. Now serving wine and beer.

Max's is great! It's a New York style deli with great food and friendly people. Even though Michael is very grouchy looking he's a businessman getting the job done.
The Osso Bucco (veal stew and mashed potato) is my favorite when I'm really hungry.
