The Boylston Street studio of the multi-nationally known Dahn Yoga Center is an oasis tucked on the 2nd floor of a building, above the bustle of the city below. All those seeking a place to come and relax and shake off the stress of fast-paced urban living are welcome. Class offerings are not those that one encounters in other yoga studios, and include Tai Chi, DahnMuDo (non-combative martial art), Stretching, Vibration, Mixed Flow, and Intestine classes designed to rid the body of toxins accumulated in the intestinal tract. Su Haeng sessions on awakening the individual spirit are available after completing the once monthly offering of Shim Sung, an awakening of the soul exercise.
The focus of Dahn practice differs from other Yoga practice in its intense focus on the brain, by creating the tools necessary to improve the health and well being of the individual, family, and society as a whole. Their Best 5 Program is a unique progression used to simply maximize your brain's effectiveness. Personal instruction sessions are available.

It is hard to even call the Sports Club LA a gym. It would more aptly be described a country club. Standing high above the Boston Common in the The Ritz Carlton, Boston Common, the SCLA is the definition of luxury and posh; with a little sweat thrown in. With a huge cardio and weights section and group fitness classes that range from step aerobics to ballet pilates, your every need will be met. That is not to mention the Olympic sized pool, 4 squash courts, and basketball arena. Don't forget to stop by the SCLA cafe attached to Blu for a post-workout smoothie and egg white omlette. I know that this all sounds fabulous, and it is.... However, it comes with the steepest price tag in the city with initiation fees starting at $650 and monthly dues around $170 as well. Whoever said no pain, no gain was right.

Bikram Yoga is a challenging series of 26 asanas, or postures, which are designed to systematically stretch, strengthen and restore health to every part of the body. Scientifically designed by Bikram Choudhury, founder of the Worlwide Yoga College, this 90-minute program is performed in a heated room. Bikram Yoga for You is a small Bikram studio located in West Roxbury and the original Bikram studio in Massachusetts. They have a convenient class schedule, good instructors, and a nice, laid back group of yoga students. Their are changing rooms, but no showers; bring your own towel.

The Copley Square BSC is a great addition to this ever expanding empire of fitness. With a junior Olympic sized pool, a spinning studio, a yoga and pilates studio, and a separate aerobics studio with a bevy of classes to offer, this is not your traditional boring gym.
