The dining room, designed by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz of C&J Katz, radiates a quiet and timeless elegance in the form of a muted taupe palette and dark polished wood floors.
Let the chef pamper you while you linger over creative updates of European delicacies and a view of the Boston Common. No. 9 Park is the ideal spot for those with plenty of time and money to spend on a memorable evening. The tasting menu of 7 or 9 courses ($85/110 or $135/185 with wine) offers an array of the chef's daily specialties with innovative additions. But the extremely attentive staff is more than willing to help you design your own dining experience, complete with savory options like appetizers of Maind diver scallops and entrees of butter poached lobster ($17), duet of veal, or crispy duck ($35). Sweet choices, such as the rhubarb rose vacherin with Tahitian vanilla meringue, are simply divine, and complimentary macaroons accompany the check. A café menu (entrees $15-25) in a similar style is less formal than the main dining room, and the bar serves up a variety of liqueurs, wines by the glass ($9-14) and a dazzling pear martini ($11). Entrees $20-50.

Founded by husband and wife team Marc Orfaly and Kerri Foley, and nestled between Boston’s Theatre District and Bay Village, Pigalle is a mom-and-pop restaurant of the highest quality. Orfaly’s French-influenced menu combines traditional Parisian bistro fare with pan-Asian flavors that include the Middle East. Pigalle’s intimate dining room is perfect for theatergoers looking for something special or a couple longing for that romantic night out.
Kind of a weird location, small little side street with nothing else really " cute" near it, however the restaurant itself was really charming!
Come here in spring/summer for $1 oysters! They will validate your parking if you park next door at Radisson Hotel.

The Beacon Hill Bistro is a French and American restaurant in the Beacon Hill Hotel. For breakfast and lunch, the cuisine is Nouveau American while the dinner menu is unmistakably French with a focus on les fruit de mers. The wait staff is friendly and courteous and very helpful with the menu. Although the ambiance is good, guests sometimes find the decor heavy and the seating cramped, especially when the restaurant is busy and when large groups are involved. However, when empty on a weekday morning, the restaurant’s robust trimmings make the dining experience cozier.
Given its setting and choice of cuisine, individual reactions have varied. Read detailed reviews. But most agree that this is one of those lovely restaurants that make Boston a favorite city for dining.
Some highlights on the menu are the Artichoke Soup, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Coconut Mousse with Passion Fruit Sorbet and Lemongrass Basil Syrup. Though recommendations are to stick with the relatively standard seafood and meat entrees and stay away from inventive combinations such as the Stuffed Rabbit Loin with Pumpkin Risotto to avoid disappointment. The wine list is organized by price, easy to navigate, and there are a lot of good wines so you can't go wrong. To add, the restaurant has a full bar with an apt selection of aperitifs, spirits and liqueurs, so if you want to begin with a Campari and end with a nice single malt you won't be displeased.
The restaurant is on the expensive side but serves as an ideal option for corporate dining and/or special events. However, despite some of its non-standard concoctions, the prices are never exorbitant as each entree is priced in the mid-twenties.
In terms of location, the restaurant is a stone's throw from the Beacon Street side of Boston Common - close to the Common’s parking lot and the Park Street T-stop, but probably equidistant to the Charles Street T-stop, which is also on the Red Line.

Smith and Wollensky is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant located in the Bay Village area of Boston. Smith and Wollensky is located in one of Boston's historic landmarks that is known to many as "the castle." The space has been restored meticulously to recapture the integrity and beauty of the original millwork, masonry, and wrought iron ornamental work. While Smith and Wollensky is primarily known for the steaks, things like seafood and other meats are great as well. Smith and Wollensky's menu is a la carte, meaning that you order the meat you want and then order a few sides for the table. Sides such as "Truffled Macaroni and Cheese" are served family style so that everyone can indulge. The menu also includes things such as Oysters ($9), World Famous Split Pea Soup ($6) and Thin Crust Pizza ($9-12). The wine list is extensive, featuring over 500 wines.

Sick of the Boston summer heat? Ready for a delicious and somewhat healthy way to cool off? Stop by Bon Bon for the best gelato and sorbet in the area (including the North End!) Bon Bon serves a variety of delicious snacks including exciting candies, creamy hot chocolate, and organic coffee. Located on Mass Ave in between Berklee, Northeastern, and Newbury Street, Bon Bon is the perfect summer treat! The shop is tiny and cute, with no room for more than a few customers, so plan on eating outside on the lawn in front of the Christian Science Center.
Unfortunately, for college students, it is expensive at $4.75 a cup, but you can sample virtually everything and you can get up to three flavors! There are so many incredibly refreshing and healthy flavors (almost all are 100% fat free) that you will have the hardest time choosing one. During your visit, be sure to pick up a punch card to get your seventh cup free. Tuesday's are Double Punch Tuesdays, so be sure to take advantage of that!

Atop a glass-roofed fitness club, this restaurant-cafe and 2 bars cater to the area's “guppie” (gay-yuppie) crowd. Familiars will know that the “club” monicker is deceiving: Club Cafe is more restaurant than bar, and certainly not so much club, making it a good place to actually have conversations. The fun, chic video bar features a VJ on weekend nights, drawing both young and old, and though no dancing goes on, the trendy techno music makes Club Cafe a great pre-game stop before you hit up Machine or The Estate. A piano bar entertains those with more subdued tastes, and W karaoke caters to those who'd rather make music than listen. Weekday lunch is popular, as is Su brunch ($15). Beer $3-3.50, mixed drinks $4-5. Casual. Voted best Gay and Lesbian nightspot.
