Walk-ins accepted, this is one of the most convenient and relatively cheap places to get your hair cut done around Boston University. With a walkin hair cut around $14 and nice customer service, you can't go wrong.

This shop is new. When I called for an appointment for a shave, they informed me they don't do shaves at this location, but were very helpful in suggesting other nearby places that did.

Another one of the many salons in this section of Huntington Avenue near Northeastern University, New England Conservatory and the Symphony and Mass Ave MBTA stops, Sal's Barbershop definitely caters more to the male population in the area--most girls don't end up at a "barbershop"--just as many guys won't go anywhere near the scented, fluffy salons of Newbury Street. With only day hours and weekday openings, it's not a good place if you work fulltime, but students and locals can definitely walk in or make an appointment for daylight haircuts during the week. Hours: 9am-6pm Monday-Friday.

A1 Barber Shop is a men's barber shop in the South End. They are open Monday through Saturday from 8am-7pm, and closed Sundays. They take cash only. This is your "true" barber shop! Certainly worth a try if you are in need of a haircut!
