Bohemian-cool meets French countryside chic in the girlie-girl paradise of Anthropologie. From floral dresses and exquisite jewelry to cheery housewares and vintage-style furniture, every item here is timeless and unique—a perfect place for gift-hunting. Intricate embroidery and bold prints add to the appeal. But quality comes at an (often steep) price (t-shirts $40+, toiletries $10-20, skirts $70-180, jewelry $38-180). Sales racks on the third floor offer more affordable items without sacrificing the Amelie-esque cuteness.

From Abe Lincoln and FDR, to Katharine Hepburn and Stephen Colbert, this proud pig emblem has been prominent in Hollywood and Washington alike. Not only is Brooks Brothers the nation's oldest shopping retailer, it has remained to this day the classic symbol of elegance and refinement. Whether you choose to don a tailor made three piece suit, or a cable knit sweater, Brooks Brothers will get you there in the most fashionable of ways. With two locations downtown, and an additional three in the metro area, Brooks Brothers looks forward to swaddling chic Bostonians for years to come.

Girly, delicate, innovative, and flirty. Clothing by designer Christiane Celle. Focusing mainly on their classic staple, the Pazzi dress, or the wrap dress, Calypso is cool resort fashion that can be city chic. The staff in this Newbury Street store is helpful and fun.

Club Monaco, a subsidiary of Ralph Lauren, has stores throughout the country as well as internationally. Their style was created by the classic black and white staples on which they built their brand as well as a bevy of accessories and colorful sweaters and monthly "must haves" for both men and women. Club Monaco's presence in Boston is felt not only in the Prudential Center, but also Cambridgeside Galleria, and the Natick Collection.

Flair is one of the best bridesmaid shops around. Although this store might be smaller as it is housed in a Back Bay brownstone, it is the only carrier of Jenny Yoo in the city. Elegant and simple, the ladies at Flair do their best to make the art of being a bridesmaid and never the bride as painless as possible!
