So when you're heading home from a late night out and all the pizza places are closed, stop by Shaw's and pick up a DiGiorno.

Not for the faint of heart, Ramrod with its intense scene and its more traditional brother bar Machine serve as the venues for gay boys who yearn for either a taste of daddy's denim or an innocuous night of carousing among men. Both bars feature something exciting every night, but the offerings vary monthly. The Rod's MANDANCE (Su 9pm) is an extreme, crowded, scantily dressed mass of male flesh swaying to pumping house. For those looking for a quality mix of clean yet dirty fun, Machine hosts good ol' fashioned foam parties Saturday nights during the summer, and karaoke Thursdays year-round. Other events include pool tournaments and leather and bondage nights. This Prudential center based Shaw's is everything the average Joe would need and more. Not only do they have a full beer and wine shop built into the second level, but they are also open 24 hours a day. With large departments of produce, meat, bakery, and seafood, this Shaw's is def. stocked for the single shopper or the family of four. Also features an extensive organic and international selection.

Ace's High is an old, large Irish bar in South Boston. Its very dive-y with cheap drinks. Its a real fun, local place especially around St. Patrick's Day. Credit cards not accepted.

Costello's is a long-standing neighborhood bar in JP. The tavern includes the JAM kitchen open Mon-Thur 12pm-12am and Fri-Sat 12pm-1am. The menu is pretty typical bar food - burgers, sandwiches, steak tips and chicken tenders.
