Flann O'Briens is a Mission Hill institution. It has evolved from a cash only dive-bar to a full-service pub. The menu offers standard pub fare (with the requisite Irish favorites). There is trivia on Tuesdays, live music on Thursdays and karaoke on Saturdays. At any given time you will find a healthy mix of townies, students and Longwood employees playing pool or throwing darts.

This is a branch of the American Legion, which is a veterans group. The organization is largely community servce based. The American Legion is known most for helping the less fortunate, namely children who are disadvantaged. The American Legion is also active in the special olympics.
