3 floors of distinct dining rooms and the North End's ONLY seasonal patio and rooftop dining. You'd think that the rooftop might offer you a panoramic view of the North End, but that's not the case. While it is open air, there's a sort of garden wall that runs up high on all sides and pens in a friendly bunch of people who love to chat, drink and smoke. In the summertime the patio is a total meat market, which is perfect if you are loaded with enough cash and the desire to get your buns gooched (girls) and your egos bruised (guys). Don't go if you're the least bit prissy or fussy. This is more like an amusement park than a restaurant, and an experience that you should enjoy at least once in your life.

This is a great place to go if you want to hang out but not dance, featuring relaxed music mixes by Party Ben. The atmosphere is comfortable, you can take your friends or a date. The decor had textured white columns, dark wood furniture with black trim for the bar and tables, rich red seating in the lounge area. Wednesday nights they have a Frank Sinatra impersonator, which you think might be a bad thing, but this guy is excellent and is worth the trip alone. You really have to stop by sometime just to hear him, take my word for it. DJs keep the action moving on the dance floor on the weekends.
Red Sky is below the Millenium Hotel in Faneuil Hall. (Why is it at a different address then?)

If you want a good wood grilled pizza, this is the place to go. They also have a varied menu which is reasonably priced and everything is good, particularly things cooked in the wood oven.

Stop in to do some eavesdropping on classic local Italian flavor from the neighborhood. This place is absolutely epic. Great lunches for cheap, and the place is usually packed. The Mangia Burger and fries is under $5.

If the Sistine Chapel had a diner, this would be it. The packed booths with paper tablecloths, an extensive menu of hearty Italian fare, and murals on the walls and ceiling combine to make Lucia a quick pit stop in the heart of the North End. Though more of a rowdy last supper than a romantic evening, the variety of Abbruzzese dishes (from the owner's hometown in Italy) are sure to provide something for everyone. The baked mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer is a house favorite, as is the gnocchi with veal and sun-dried tomatoes. Your waiter can help you pick from the list of formaggi, typically served after the second course, or feel free to head straight to dessert; the Amaretto and hazelnut cake ($6.25) is worth a try. Entrees $10-28, appetizers $4-12.
Has a sister restaurant in Winchester Lucia Ristorante.

This venerable Boston landmark is old enough to be your great-great-great-grandfather. The upstairs dining rooms are as quaint as they come, with lanterns hanging from dark wood beams. The rich, creamy seafood entrees include broiled scrod ($17) and a velvety seafood newburg ($22). Ask about the catch of the day. At the main-floor oyster bar, chefs will help you open your oysters and douse them with sauces (half dozen oysters; $10). The Union Oyster House is one tourist trap you really shouldn't miss. After all, it's been around since 1826; that's a lot longer than you, punk.

Artu is an Italian restaurant with locations in the North End and Beacon Hill. Their menu: lunch, dinner, and take out, is a collection of Italian favorites. It is simple, rustic, and priced in the moderate range. In addition, Artu has specials that change nightly. The Prince Street location is also a huge hangout and bar for North End patrons, while the Charles Street location is more of a place where Beacon Hillers go for a quick bite.
