This newly renovated posh luxury hotel in the heart of Boston's Theatre District has undergone a $11 million facelift in 2008 which included revamped guest rooms, suites and public spaces. The renovated hotel boasts the addition of a $1 million art collection, a brand new ballroom overlooking the Boston Common park and a dramatic views of Boston's Theatre District. Since its modernization in 2008, the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common has hosted a slew of celebrities including Mel Gibson and Robert DeNiro in town shooting "The Edge of Darkness." The hotel also boasts a stunning in-house restaurant called Jer-Ne.

It used to be called "The Jukebox" and then Matrix. It's now called PEARL.

Hordes of post-college men and women throng the outfit on weekends to groove to surprisingly monotonous house and techno music. Most of them are desperate for social contact, almost frighteningly so. If you still insist on rocking with the has-beens, remember that jeans will make you stick out like a sore thumb. The Roxy attempts College Nights on F, and the average age of the crowd may drop a couple of years, but the drinks are still expensive ($8 for a standard mixer) and the cover is steep ($15-20, check website for specials).
