Highlights is owned and operated by Mark Giuliano, The Salon has been open since 2000.
Mark keeps his stylists up-to-date with classes every Tuesday night. The decor is a little outdated, with a "retro" Barbie picture adorning the back wall, but Mark Giuliano's friendly eyes will invite you into his salon. Be specific with your requests for hairdos--- pictures and vivid descriptions will help the stylists understand your request. Also, make sure you get an estimate on the price before they start- junior stylist tend to be just as expensive and with less experience (and will add conditioning treatments to the price when you didn't even ask grrrrrr....). Bottomline: Mark knows hair- and if you can't get him, don't ask for a junior stylist- just wait.

While Salon 350 may be new to the back bay scene, it's stylist aren't. With over 40 years of combined experience on Newbury Street these professionals can do it all. Owners Cheri Evans, Barbara McCabe, Richard Wright and Michelle Merrill have combined heads to create a new buzz in the air along Newbury Street.

The salon itself it something to be seen. Its trendy industrial look is softened by perfectly placed walls of glass adding hominess to an otherwise spacious salon. Have a seat and stare up at the mirrored aluminum ceiling, revealing a view of the salon below. But don't forget check out the works of artist Robin MacDonald-Foley. Much of her work now finds its home in the salon and adds an element of beauty unmatched in Boston.
