Pour House is refreshingly reasonable, friendly, and free of ostentation. If you're seeking a place to be rowdy with other college kids, look no further than its brick walls and dark-wood booths. Food is the usual pub grub (huge hamburgers and club sandwiches), except cheaper. Th features half-priced Mexican entrees and Sa half-priced burgers. With 2 levels of eclectic and fun music and cheap bottled beer (from $3), there really isn't anywhere more congenial for a casual barfly night in the Back Bay.

At first sight, the stuffed buffalo and and wood-panelling adorning the Cactus Club might have you think you've found a Final Club for the southwestern cowboy crowd. Don't be fooled, though—boasting awards for the best margaritas and best fajitas in Boston as well as the best pick-up spot, The Cactus Club lets everyone in, from the afterwork to the college crowd, making for a lively bunch even on weekdays and especially during Sox games, when all appetizers and margaritas are half-priced. Try the Tequila Sunrise chicken ($12) in a limey, tangy sauce with a kick courtesy of its namesake booze, or stick to old favorites like enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas. The Cactus Club is primarily known as a watering hole—try the Horny Margarita ($7) or share a Big Bowl ($15) with a friend. Reservations accepted Su-Th; on F-Sa only accepted before 4pm.

Bring your drinking shoes--- Cactus Club makes some of the best/strongest/largest margaritas this side of the east coast. Try the various flavors and tequillas made by the lovely/flirty bar staff. Small tables in the bar area make this after-work place great for mingling & meeting others with ease. Bottom Line: the margaritas will make you forget about Boston's cold winters and make you think you've gone tropical. It's like a pringle, you can't have just one!

The Foggy Goggle Pub
The Foggy Goggle is now closed and has reopened to be McGreevy's Pub and Grille
Foggy Goggle Pub is set on the "bar" strip of Boylston Street (Near Pour House, Lir, and Cactus Club). This is probably the place where you go when the lines are too long at other places. It's still a fun bar, and has all the essentials (beer, service, drinks, beer, drinks..) but lacks in atmosphere and people. Give it a shot and prove wrong- but don't say we didn't warn you.
McGreevy's, a sportsbar and Irish restaurant and pub situated on the top of Boylston Street, is reopened for the first time since it closed for Prohibition in the 1920's. Originally opened in 1894 by Michael 'Nuf Ced' McGreevy who was the bartender and leader of the Royal Rooters, the famed fanatical fans of the Boston Americans (who later would be renamed the Boston Red Sox), it was a sports bar that hosted the likes of Ty Cobb, local Boston politicos and celebrities.
Open again by the Dropkick Murphy's Ken Casey, this reinstituted institution wants to bring a piece of history back to the city, and good times all around.

This is your everyday Staples on the corner of Glocester and Boylston, specializing in coping and printing. This Staples carries a small stock of everyday office supplies. One item that is extremely useful in Boston (2nd windiest city in America, but don't quote on that!) that many do not know about: Quality Weather-Resistant Umbrellas. These umbrellas are indestructible against the brutal Boston wind and rain for a meger $14.99 (estimation). Try it out.
Trader Joe's is your neighborhood granola-y grocery store! Located on the basement level, it's small and cramped- but carries just about everything you need. Trader Joe's is know for high quality, and often eco-friendly cheap products. After work is when this places fills up, but the cashier line moves fast.
This location does not carry beer or wine, but other locations have a large selection of wine and beers. *hint: you can find some really great wine for really realy cheap.
Visit their website for information about their products!
