Built in 1839, and at different times a church, synagogue, boarding house and Prohibition-period speakeasy, this building is currently split between staging Shear Madness, the longest running comedy in American history, and the infamous Blue Man Group Tubes, best described as performance art—drums, splashing paint, and rolls of toilet paper combine to produce an indescribable, gleefully childish sensory experience.
