The Beacon Hill Bistro is a French and American restaurant in the
Beacon Hill Hotel. For breakfast and lunch, the cuisine is Nouveau American while the dinner menu is unmistakably French with a focus on les fruit de mers. Raised mahogany paneling, banquette seating, mosaic tile flooring, etched glass, discrete mirrors and a large fireplace help to create a refined and comfortable bistro environment on Charles Street in Beacon Hill.
Some highlights on the menu are the Artichoke Soup, Roasted Lamb Loin, and Coconut Mousse with Passion Fruit Sorbet and Lemongrass Basil Syrup. The restaurant is on the expensive side but serves as an ideal option for corporate dining and/or special events.
In terms of location, the restaurant is a stone's throw from the
Beacon Street side of
Boston Common - close to the Common’s parking lot and the
Park Street T-stop, but probably equidistant to the
Charles Street T-stop, which is also on the Red Line.
Housed in the old site of Torch, Bin 26 is a new Italian wine bar and tapas joint. This new addition (opened in Fall of 2006) presents their customers with a new twist on fun and casual dining. Owners also own La La Rohk up the Hill on Mt. Vernon Street. Just remember that the restaurant license mandates that all guests order some food, even if it's only a wedge of cheese or slices of charcuterie, in order to consume alcohol.

Bakery and small restaurant serving up ice-cream, bakery items, and a nice seating area for you to enjoy the treats! A cute place for Italian-inspired sandwiches, soups, and desserts for a pretty decent price, considering its prime location on Charles St. in the midst of
Beacon Hill goodness. Their sandwiches are served on crusty baguettes and I have to say that their soup has that hearty homemade taste. The windows are huge and allowing great sunlight and people watching.
