Copley Square
Named after famous American portraitist, John Singleton Copley, Copley Square is a park-like area in
Back Bay. The area is enclosed by Clarendon Street (famous Boston Church), Dartmouth (the Central Boston Library), Boylston, and The Copley Plaza Hotel (featuring the Oak Room).
The area features a vast lawn for dog lovers and sun-loving lunch-goers. Also, there is a pretty fountain where people gather. a famous sculpture, the tortoise and the hare, was placed for the marathon's 100th anniversary. During May-November, local farmers and vendors sell their homemade goods to the city dwellers.
Throughout the year, certain groups host events such as movie night and concerts on the square.

During the summer, the Copley Square Fountain comes to life adding some awe-inspiring drama to an already picturesque part of town. Next to two cute statues of the tortoise and hare, children dip their feet in this playful public space (parents beware, however, the public fountain isn't chlorinated).
During the off-season, the concrete pit becomes a haven for displaced skateboarders trying to grind and perfect their ollies. However, it's during the summer months when this Copley Square must-see becomes a functional piece of public art.
Stillman's is a family owned farm raising fresh produce and meats.
Most of Stillman's produce is grown without chemicals. For a few crops this simply is not feasible. For these particular crops, we participate in the State Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. This entails systematic scouting of fields, protection of beneficial insects, bio-controls, and well-timed applications of only the safest pesticides.
With growing concern about genetically modified organisms (GMO), as a patron you can be confident that none of the produce we grow have been engineered, in fact, we often experiment with many heirloom varieties!
