This clothing store for juniors and young men caters to value-seeking fashion conscious consumers. In other words, Tello’s is known for its cheap clothing and flashy outfits perfect to wear at the club. This Downtown Crossing shop also boasts brand-name imposter brands that mimic Bebe, Hollister and Abercrombie clothing. While the garments look stylish, don’t count on quality. In fact, some regulars say Tello’s ghetto gear tears apart after a few washings.

Bargain basement shopping at its best. What makes the TJ Maxx location in Downtown Crossing particularly special is its stellar selection of home goods and bedding. Great selection of sheets and comforters and they’re definitely the go-to place for college students looking to spruce up their dorm rooms. The clothing selection is hit or miss and it takes tenacity and repeat visits to snag that perfect designer outfit or shirt for cheap.

After over 50 years in Europe, H&M has joined meatballs, Saab, Volvo, Swedish fish, bikini teams, and more as yet another great Swedish export to America. The downtown store brings Bostonians the hottest euro-chic styles (and mind-numbingly long lines), with clothing for men, women and kids. H&M is high fashion at shockingly low prices; while you won't be able to expect the style or quality of any garment to last you more than a couple of seasons, at $15 for a dress and $2 for three pairs of earrings, you can't really go wrong. H&M also consistently updates its newest fashions. Always busy, it's fun to poke in. If this Downtown Crossing location does not work for you, you can also visit H&M at Cambridgeside Galleria or the couture H&M on Newbury Street. It should not be missed for the stylish hungry who don't have a huge bankroll to spend on clothes.

Looking for major-name labels at a low price? Now that Filene’s Basement is closed for renovations, Marshalls in Downtown Crossing is a great place for bargain shopping. This location offers a great selection in women's and men’s clothing—ranging from designer button-down dress shirts to Ralph Lauren polos to Ken Cole Reaction shoes. Also, in comparison to the other bargain stores like TJ Maxx and the Filene’s Basement in Copley, Marshalls boasts an excellent selection of lower-priced colognes and perfumes.

With its flagship store originating in London in 1992, this Downtown Crossing newbie buys, sells and exchanges a wide range of products, generally in the electronic realm, including video games, DVDs, computers, digital electronics, music and mobile phones. CeX--or Complete Entertainment Exchange--is in essence a pawn shop for electronic goodies. Store credit is worth more than getting cash back but buyer beware: credit is given on a slip of paper and, if lost, CeX can't track the amount you're owed.

This location is an Eddie Bauer Outlet. The real bargains are towards the back, on the markdown racks. The front racks tend to have current merchandise and minimal "Buy Two, Get 10% off" deals. Still, you can find some deals here if you are willing to dig. The place isn't that big and it excels at basics. There are also socks, luggage and other non-clothing Eddie Bauer items.
