Franklin Park. The Emerald necklace not only breathes some serious oxygen into this city, but offers Bostonians a myriad of places to run, hike, play, and frolick in the city.
The Emerald Necklace was created by Fredrick Law Olmstead beginning in 1878 in an attempt to link all of the major public parks in Boston. The parks included in the Emerald Necklace are:
