Harvard Stadium
If you glance quickly at this massive structure, you might think for just a moment that you were standing on the streets of Rome. Although this stadium is the shape of a horseshoe, its outer wall's resemblance to the Colosseum is uncanny. Built in 1903, this stadium is the only permanent intercollegiate playing ground in America and is home to the Harvard Crimson. However, it hosted the Boston Patriots (formerly the New England Patriots) in 1970, soccer matches in the 1984 Summer Olympics, and currently the Boston Cannons (a professional lacrosse team).
In September of 2007, the first night game was played here as lights were finally installed in the stadium.
When the field isn't used for gaming, it is the site for various music concerts and festivals. Of note, the Amandla Festival was held here in 1979, where legendary musicians, Bob Marley and Patti LaBelle performed.
