This marker is located on Hereford Street between Newbury and Boylston. Just ahead is the left hand turn onto Boylston and the final quarter mile to the finish line. This is a narrow section of the course with not as much sidewalk space as the rest of the course. There are hundreds of thousands of spectators lining the streets of the last mile and half of the race cheering all of the runners, fast and not so fast, on to the end.
