Urban Outfitters offer rad college-type clothing, furniture, accessories, board games, lighting, shoes... you get the picture. The offerings tend to be "thrift-store" expensive. They offer some great books (both read-able and coffee table-sque)- and novelty items. The store targets college age kids, but you need trust funds to buy more than one pair of jeans/mickey mouse shirt.
Visit your grandma's attic before heading to buy clothing (skipping the price for the same look). Also, check out the sale selection.

Greek mythology aside, you'll find plenty of fleece here, golden and otherwise. The helpful staff will answer any questions you might have about the fleeces ($68-215), parkas, or the right kind of hiking socks ($9-19). The popular Capilene silkweight shirts ($32-34) and long underwear ($30-50) are ideal for hardcore winter sports. Wide selection of luggage, hiking boots, books, Nalgenes, etc., is available. Check upstairs for sale items. 1% of profits or 10% of sales (whichever's higher) goes toward a variety of grassroots environmental groups.

This is the place for designer jeans with an "industrial" flare. Often Diesil jeans have a really cool labor worker look (such as big pockets, railroad style strips) with a pricey tag. You won't find the typical flashy glitter pockets like most designers to to their jeans. The store has other clothing, and often tailors to the "sporty" style.
