Famous for their delicious seafood chowder, and their no-nonsense, no-frills fresh seafood platters, the No Name has been serving Boston with fresh, honest, reasonably priced seafood since 1917. You can get lobster, but more popular are the heaping plates of scrod, shrimp, scallops, clams, or a combination plate either broiled or fried. No awards here for snazzy flavorings, spices, or presentation—but the freshness and quality of the seafood cannot be beat. Land-lubber options include steak, chicken, and burgers; but surf, not turf, is definitely the specialty. Many tables are family-style, be prepared to share. Entrees $5-23. Free parking.

The seafood here is amazing! Everything is so fresh, hot, and steaming. Not quite on par with the Clam Box in Ipswich, but pretty close, and better than anywhere else in Boston.
