Qdoba lets you watch your burrito--either in a tortilla, or "naked" and in a bowl (a low-carb option!), be made behind the counter. You follow your tortilla or bowl down the assembly line as it is made in front of your eyes. Along the way you answer critical questions such as "black or pinto beans?" and "which type of salsa?" (there's mild, verde and a habanero/hot, and a sweet corn salsa too) and "guacamole or sour cream?". If you go with a naked burrito, ask for a bag of the salty, warm tortilla chips at the end if you're not avoiding carbs, and eat like nachos.
For the 21+ crowd, Qdoba offers a small selection of beer, including a bucket of "Coronitas" or baby Coronas. The outdoor seating is great for people-watching in the warmer months, but the inside also offers lots of tables by the window or cozier booths. There's usually a TV on a sports channel, and although there might be a line for food, the service is efficient generally. A good stop for after working out in the
Marino Center on NU campus, on the way to
Fenway for a Sox game, or before a visit to the
Museum of Fine Arts, less than a block away.
Qdoba can also cater events large and small, and while they don't do delivery, it's easy enough to get to from most areas of campus for a quick meal to go.
They also have free wifi.
