Massachusetts Avenue Massachusetts Avenue, or more widely referred to as "Mass Ave" by Bostonians and Cantibrigans, is a major road that stretches throughout Boston, Cambridge, and several other towns outside of the city. Mass Ave. begins in the neighborhood of Dorchester and crosses into Cambridge over the Harvard Bridge. Mass Ave has some serious ground covered in Cambridge as it runs through Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Central Square, Harvard University, Harvard Square, Porter Square, and then out into the suburbs. Along the way, Mass. Ave is dotted with everything from cafes and restaurants, to pubs, boutiques, commerical buildings, and residences. Mass. Ave and it's diversity is a true depiction of the variety and beauty of this great city.
