It is great to see the city investing in its parks! I loved this park before the renovations but now it is so much more open and clean. It really is an awesome outdoor meeting place - for people and dogs!

I have been going to Picco for years. Although I am sad that they took the Cobb salad off the menu, I am NEVER disappointed with the food and service - i look forward to their soup of the day. Super sweet and efficient staff. GREAT icecream.

The food was amazing. A tiny space but a wonder of interior design. You can take away, but you will want to eat in.

Went to the Mills Gallery for their first "Overheard/Underground": http://www.bcaonline.org/july_2008/overheard_underground.php Very cool mix of people and music. The best $3.33 you will spend. It is only happening for the next two Tuesdays (7/15, 7/22), so don't miss it!

Quite possibly my favorite bar in Boston. It is a tiny, homey, punk-rocky place with sassy food and sassier employees. The crowd-flow is tidal so it is either packed or just you and the Elvis Shrine Wall.

Very nice and helpful. However, they are no longer offering free delivery because of the rising cost of gas (still more affordable than most).

Mission Hill is closer than you think. And The Savant Project is worth the trip. The fare is Asian infused. I had the panko-crusted salmon over wasabi potato puree (yum). My friend had the blue cheese-stuffed burger and we split a pitcher of the margaritas (made with Pama which was a great twist). This place is affordable and friendly. The music is eclectic and set to the perfect level and huge open windows in the front give the SP a very euro cafe feel.

Flann's used to be my home away from home when I lived in Mission Hill. Although I miss the rough and tumble days, the renovations have paid off and it still maintains its down to earth style and presence.

Surprisingly, when friends and I decided to go over to Figs in Charlestown we didn't have to wait for a table. It was an easy walk from North Station in Boston Proper (you will need the walk back after you eat!). Although it is always delicious, I do suffer from sticker shock with the menu prices, and the wine pour is weak.

Went here for lunch for the first time (have been for dinner on several occasions). Great spot for midday meal. Efficient service. Cozy patio. I was with two others and we split: Caprese Salad, a Macaroni Pasta with sausage and a small thin crust pizza....delicious and the perfect amount of food.

Went for brunch and was happy to find a table available outside. There were three of us and a baby stroller. Although a bit awkward with the stroller, the staff are very accommodating. We had the first three things on the brunch menu: Granola French Toast, Eggs Benedict, Amish Eggs. All of it was delicious. They have hommade Bloody Mary mix with the perfect blend of spices. It is worth it.

This is one of my favorite museums in the Boston area. I definitely make it a stop when people come in from out of town. You can spend all afternoon there. It's great for kids of all ages. Don't forget to say hi to Kizmet (the world's first sociable robot! Afterwards you can geek-out over a pint at the Miracle of Science (which is just across the stree).

I was recently there for a charity event. It is a great space (it is available for hire). The food is amazing. I had been there a few years ago and I am pleased with its evolution.

Here is my advice for Bonfire: arrive early(ish) - before 9, sit at the bar, order small plates. If you do, you will probably get a good meal and experience out of this overly styled (think Medieval meeting hall) steak house. I had one of their martini specials (not listed on the menu) before moving on to my standard...my friend and I split three small plates: beef empanadas, calimari, tomato and mozzarella salad which were all delicious and satisfying.

I went for the first and probably last time, on Saturday night. I found it most enjoyable between the hours of 10pm-midnight... It appeals to a certain demographic (eurotrash/highroller) and I think between the hours of 10-12 that group holds court and brings a interesting vibe. but when the clock strikes midnight, it's best to be on your way. The cocktail waitresses do their best to maintain a "classy" veneer by busing and replacing your cocktail napkins every five seconds but there is no consideration for things like the toilet paper running out in the ladies room.

This is a great spot to meet for drinks as the sun is setting over the Boston skyline. A perfect "local". The appetizers are okay, but go elsewhere for entrees.

It was a cold night, last night...which made walking into the HK all the more pleasurable. Friendly faces all around. Cozy bar, great music. This is a small space but they were very accommodating to our group (good-natured and efficient staff). The food was amazing: deviled eggs, tater tots, fish tacos, fried chicken with collard greens, juicy-good hamburgers....it is indeed an eclectic menu. Be sure to check our their drink specials.

The melitsana wrap is amazing. Definitely a stop before an evening at the Paradise.

It is rare to find a place where you can see Blonde Redhead one day and the latest Bollywood film the next. If you haven't been, you need to go.

Truly a friendly place to have a pint and listen to local hero musicians.

Don't get turned off by the size of this place. People will make room. Some of the best local music is played here. Stop for a bite at Christophers before hand.

A perfectly cozy eatery. Friendly staff and a nice bright interior. I went there for lunch and had my first Arepas. It was delicious. I am definitely going back when I have time for a proper meal.

I've been waiting for this place to open and I'm glad they did! Their menu is expanding almost daily. The best smoothie I've ever had!
Blu

Blu is a good standby and they have a very unique vista of the theatre district (and a GREAT moscow mule). Their apps are delish, but i continue to be disappointed by their entrees.

Delicious food, perfect proportions, friendly service. A great place for afterwork or a date! I had the land and see with scallops. Yum.
