Picco (Stands for Pizza and Ice Cream Company) is a charming restaurant located in the South End on Tremont Street with delicious food and a lovely outdoor seating (when weather permits). The restaurant definitely has a pizza specialty but also serves a delicious chicken parmagiana sandwich, salads, home made pastas, and fish tacos. They serve ice cream as well, and have many flavors to choose from. The pizza is cooked in a flaming brick oven, that you can see from inside of the restaurant! The staff are friendly, and the food always tastes very fresh.

Here are a few 'nice to knows' about Picco: There is a $10.00 minimum on all charges. Delivery is free from 5-10pm everyday to the South End, Back Bay, and Bay Village. The whole menu is available for take-out and delivery. Reservations are only available for parties of 8 or more.
The Boston Globe praised the decor as "quaint, brightly lit, and secretly upscale", but dismissed the "charred yet underbaked" pizzas[1]. The Phantom Gourmet was more enthusiastic, noting that "slices and scoops spare no expense with gourmet ingredients" and that the "retro décor evokes an old school ice cream parlor"[2].

I'm a fan - love the concept of a pizza place that falls between pizzeria and upscale, and the food is quite nice. I ordered a pizza (Alsatian - shallot, garlic, creme fraiche, and bacon without tomato sauce - delicious) and a beer, and they offered me a taste of their homemade spaghetti, too, with lemon zest, tomato, and creme fraiche. That was so yummy that I cant' wait to return and get a pasta. They also have good service and a real nice selection of beers.

We've gone here since the day they opened, before we had kids, and continue to go now. It is solid, often inventive, inexpensive, and homey. A family member is lactose intolerant, so you would think "Pizza and Ice Cream Company" is a no go, but they do quite well by her I'd suggest.
I prefer my pizza less "well done" than their default, so if you do too, just ask them to lighten it up.

Decent pizza and great outdoor seating. I work really close and sometimes I get an espresso after lunch there. Delicious!!!

I have been going to Picco for years. Although I am sad that they took the Cobb salad off the menu, I am NEVER disappointed with the food and service - i look forward to their soup of the day. Super sweet and efficient staff. GREAT icecream.

Picco not only has great pizza and ice cream, but their homemade mac and cheese is so rich, dense, and decadent!
