Museum
Daily 9am-5pm
Flanked by towering neighbors several times its size, this icon of American history embodies the stubborn pride of the early rebels. One of the highlights of the Boston Freedom Trail, this building once served as the seat of the pre-revolutionary Colonial government and also as Boston's City Hall in the 1830s. Although the tiny red brick building survived the Revolutionary War, it almost didn't survive the 19th century, when it fell into disrepair. However, when the city of Chicago offered to buy it in 1880, members of the fledgling Bostonian Society were spurred to action and raised funds to save the building. The museum (restored to its 18th-century appearance) displays a permanent collection of colonial artifacts, as well as rotating exhibits on more recent events. Admission $5, students and seniors $4, children 6-18 $1.

However, Ueno Sushi’s Japanese-style cuisine is a bit on the pricey side compared to other pan-Asian bars that serve up quality sushi. Try the Ueno Maki Combo for its unique flavor combination or their colorful bubble tea or yummy udon noodles.

This telephone booth-sized storefront next to Pi Alley and Dunkin' Donuts on Washington Street is a great quick-stop shop for scratch ticket lottery fanatics, phone cards and those looking to make a copy of a key. Key Works deserves kudos for its customer service. The man working the booth is always upbeat and frendly to patrons.

The store does a great job of mixing the organization and layout of a chain store with the expertise and range of a specialist store. Newbury Comics does what it does brilliantly --prices are typically a few dollars less per CD here than at other retail chains -- but if you're looking for something other than rock, you'll do better elsewhere.
Thank you for your contribution. You've taken a huge step to making Povo the "word on the street,"
and we appreciate it very much. Because of the complexity of the "wiki text" and code that can be used
on Povo, in order to edit this section in the future you must click the "edit" button to the right of the section
